Being fully present with clients is at the core of effective coaching, yet it can be difficult to maintain. Presence requires not only observing what’s happening with the client but also tuning into our own internal experiences. This experiential workshop offers a unique opportunity for coaches to practice “noticing” by engaging with images, music, and videos—tools that can reveal insights, shift perspectives, and deepen coaching conversations.
Through interactive exercises and reflection, participants will cultivate greater awareness of how their own thoughts, emotions, and interpretations shape their coaching presence. This session is designed to align with ICF Core Competencies #2 (Embodies a Coaching Mindset) and #5 (Maintains Presence) by helping coaches develop reflective practices, manage their emotions, and enhance their ability to remain focused, observant, and responsive.
Key activities include:
- Notice: The Elements in Isolation and Collaboration – Explore how images, sounds, and personal experiences impact presence and awareness.
- Designer’s Lens – Apply design-thinking principles to uncover new perspectives that can help clients gain insight into their challenges.
- Environmental Lens – Use nature as a tool to shift your mindset and prepare for deeper client engagement
Participants will engage in self-reflection, small and large group discussions, and commitment-setting to integrate their learning into practice. By the end of this session, coaches will walk away with techniques to enhance their presence, a stronger ability to engage diverse perspectives, and the confidence to share observations with clients in a way that fosters growth and transformation.
Join us for this dynamic workshop and elevate your coaching presence through the power of noticing.
