Celebrating the 2026 ICF Iowa Chapter Award Recipients

At this year’s Midwest Coaches Development Conference, we had the opportunity to celebrate five incredible members of the ICF Iowa community whose contributions reflect the very best of coaching in our state.

Our inaugural Chapter Awards were created to recognize different kinds of impact — from the results coaches create with clients, to the ways they strengthen the profession, support fellow coaches, and help build the community around them.

Please join us in congratulating this year’s recipients:

Coaching Impact Award — Blair Wagner
Recognizing meaningful, measurable impact created through coaching. Blair’s work spans individuals, teams, organizations, and the broader coaching community. Her continued investment in leaders, clients, teams, and ICF Iowa reflects a lasting commitment to helping others grow and thrive.

Coaching Profession Award — Dorene MacVey
Recognizing contribution that advances and strengthens the coaching profession. Through iThrive31, the Coaching Collective, professional development, mentorship, and her continued involvement with ICF Iowa, Dorene has created opportunities for coaches to strengthen their craft, grow their practices, and learn from one another.

Emerging Coach Award — Nilay Gökdağ
Recognizing exceptional growth, skill, and promise early in a coaching career. Nilay has quickly become an active part of the ICF Iowa community while building her coaching practice, investing in her development, and stepping into new opportunities. Her energy, determination, and willingness to engage point to an exciting future in the profession.

Chapter Community Award — Dick Hannasch
Recognizing extraordinary connection, encouragement, and contribution to the ICF Iowa community. Dick is the kind of person who consistently shows up — welcoming new coaches, connecting people, sharing resources, mentoring others, and creating opportunities for coaches to serve. His leadership of the Ignite initiative is just one example of the impact he continues to have on our chapter and beyond.

President’s Award — Ann Wright
Recognizing exceptional leadership, service, and lasting contribution to ICF Iowa. Ann helped lead the chapter through the uncertainty of COVID, kept the community moving forward during a challenging season, and helped guide ICF Iowa to Charter Chapter status. Her leadership helped create the foundation for much of what our chapter is today.

These awards are ultimately about more than individual accomplishments. They are about the kind of coaching community we want to continue building — one where people invest in their craft, in one another, and in the difference professional coaching can make.

Congratulations to Blair, Dorene, Nilay, Dick, and Ann. We’re grateful for the ways each of you continues to strengthen ICF Iowa.
