The Home Stretch
We are officially less than one month away from the ICF Midwest Coaching Conference 2026!
Last month, our Treasurer and I attended the ICF Professional Coaches Midwest In-Person Forum. We connected with chapter leaders across our region, many of whom will attend the conference.
Several people came up to me and told me how excited they were to be visiting Des Moines. I was equally excited to welcome them on behalf of our chapter.
One thing was clear to everyone: nothing beats face-to-face interaction for building relationships. After eight months of monthly virtual meetings, meeting in person added a depth and richness we hadn't yet experienced.
The ICF core value of humanity was on full display.
We shared hugs, laughs, and even a few tears. We broke bread, raised a toast, and told our stories. We celebrated triumphs and commiserated over challenges that didn't seem daunting once we realized we all face them.
For those attending the conference, we have the same opportunity to build connections and relationships. This includes our fellow chapter members from across the state and new people you haven't met yet. If you can't make it, we'll share our takeaways and make introductions.
